Your first Gravel ride? – Forget the stopwatch, we’ve got your back!

Your first Gravel ride? – Forget the stopwatch, we’ve got your back!

Thinking about getting into gravel riding? You’ve liked our events so far, but you’re not sure if it’s really for you? Worried you’ll be too slow, get lost, or get stranded in the middle of the forest with a mechanical issue?

The one-day gravel rides of the Bianchi Hungarian Gravel Tour Series were created specifically to take the stress off your shoulders. For us, a "tour" isn't just a route—it’s full support from the starting line to the post-ride pizza. This is the perfect community cycling experience where safety comes first.

We won’t throw you in the deep end – Here’s how your day looks:

  1. 💌 Professional preparation: We stay in constant contact with you before the tour. We’ll send over the precise GPX route and all the essential info to ensure a smooth arrival. We’ll reach out via the email address you provided during registration—expect specific updates in the two weeks leading up to the event. By the time the big day arrives, you’ll know every detail.

  2. 🏁 Arrival and check-in. As soon as you arrive at the event center, head straight to registration. Here, you’ll pick up your race number—this lets us know you’ve arrived and ensures we’re looking out for you on the course. Before the start, the announcer will call the tour participants to the start gate, making you feel like part of the KLND community right away.

  3. 🚴♂️ Tour guides. No one gets left behind. Dedicated tour guides will accompany the group. The lead guides set the pace at the front, while the "sweeper" stays at the back to make sure nobody is left alone. There’s no such thing as being "too slow"—the sweep guide won't come in until the last person has safely reached the finish line.

  4. 🦺 SOS Help: Flat tire or a crash?

    Mechanical issues:

Mechanical Issues: Don’t overpack! A common mistake for beginners is carrying enough tools for a multi-day expedition. A multi-tool, a spare tube, tire levers, and a mini pump are plenty. If you can't fix it yourself, your fellow riders or the tour guides will be there to help solve the problem.

New for 2026: Both the refreshment point and the start/finish area will be equipped with a technical assistance kit containing the essential tools needed for repairs.

Medical safety: While we look out for one another, the terrain can hold surprises. If you get injured or take a spill, we can dispatch a motorized medic to the field quickly. A professional ambulance crew is also stationed at the base. If needed, they’ll provide immediate and expert care so the fall doesn't remain a bad memory.

  5. 🥤 On-course refreshment point: A formal checkpoint awaits you along the route. Here, you can refill your bottles and choose from various snacks and energy-boosting bites. No need to carry a backpack full of food; we’ll fuel you up at the station! As mentioned above, basic technical tools will also be available at these points.

  6. 🍕 Finish ride food and post ride chats: When you cross the finish line, quality food and cold drinks await you at the KLND tent. This is the highlight of the day: a chance to share your favorite moments and maybe even plan your next shared adventure.

"Is my bike or gear embarrassing?"

At KLND, it’s the vibe that matters, not the frame material. You can show up on an old mountain bike in a flannel shirt or in pro racing kit—the point is that we’re riding together. Don’t bring three changes of clothes "just in case"; if the weather is iffy, a good wind vest or raincoat is more than enough. Learn from the experienced riders: sometimes less is more!

You just show up; we’ll handle the rest. We take care of the route, the safety, and the atmosphere. You just need to bring your bike and your curiosity.

Grab your tickets for the tour and let’s meet at one of our stops! Plus, if you are a KLND Club member, you automatically get a discount on your entry!
