Tour Horizont manifesto
Tour Horizont is a “no-race bikepacking event” that was born from the legacy of the Hungarian Divide and the year-round available and signed Horizont bike tour route, but it has already become something more. We don’t call it a race; we call it a community bike adventure. A journey where the rhythm of pedaling helps you reconnect with yourself, with your own joys and struggles, with Hungary’s unique landscapes and nature, and with the community.
Why are we here?
Our goal is to create something that transcends us and endures for future generations. An event that stands proudly alongside icons of the international bikepacking world—like the Tuscany Trail or Paris-Brest-Paris—representing the unique beauty of the Hungarian landscape and our culture of hospitality. We offer an experience where, alongside athletic achievement, touristic discovery and cultural adventure are also present.
More than just a route
Our vision for this event is to make the year-round available Horizont route a "living corridor" for those few days while the event is on. We want more than just you, the participant, to have a great experience; we also want residents of every village and town you pass through to feel part of it, and in the long run, to want to contribute to it themselves. Our dream is for the entire route to become one connected community during the days of Tour Horizont, and to inspire many people along the way.
Our promise
As organizers, we are committed to the highest professional standards, genuine care, rider safety and sustainability. For us, you come first: your safety, your experience. In return, we ask only this: be kind, be fair, respect nature, respect the locals, and look out for your fellow riders.
Get ready, we’re heading out. The Horizont is waiting!
