The KLND Story
As a community, we started out in 2019 under the name Bikepacking Hungary. Our goal was to promote and spread the spirit of the bikepacking movement in Hungary — and to our great delight, it was met with enthusiasm. We grew quickly: our online groups expanded, and even our early weekend rides often drew more than 10–20 participants.
The next step was organizing challenges and events — our name became associated with the creation of 5 Peaks 500, Hungarian Divide, and Balaton Bike Derby.
In 2021, we took things to the next level. As the framework of Bikepacking Hungary could no longer contain all the plans we had long been nurturing, a new brand was born: KLND started.
Our mission is to share the values we represent and the strength of our community with as many people as possible — to help others discover the joy of adventure. We also want to explore new territory, going beyond cycling to cover other outdoor topics and aspects of life.
Within cycling, we’re opening up to the world of gravel alongside bikepacking.
And KLND is more than events — we’re building a space where we can share meaningful stories, create high-quality content, inspire your next adventure, and offer gear in our shop that supports both you and the community behind us.
